Line branle.
Wibble back and forth sideways a few times, then gents paw the ground with one foot (as a horse might), and do a four-step round-the-left-shoulder rotate (opportunity for flourishes, kissing hands, etc.); then ladies do pretty much the same (though swapping lefts for rights, unless you want to end up progressing down the line, spitting partners out each repeat) (opportunity for studied nonchalence towards forward men). Take a beat's rest, wash, rinse, repeat.
Relatively harmless -- little chance for kidnappings or major seductions.
