The Arts and Sciences (often shortened to A&S) are the intellectual and crafty pursuits practiced and studied in the SCA.
For more on these, go to either:
- Arts - for the crafty-types of things - making stuff such as textiles, armour, yummy recipes, or even brewing
- Sciences - for the interesting studies of history, astronomy, medicines etc
The joke here is that if you hit it and it breaks, it's an art, otherwise it's a science.
See your friendly, local Arts and Sciences Officer to show you on your way. Make your mark and you could one day become a laurel.
