Found throughout temperate regions, the nettle grows to about 60 - 100 cm and is covered with stinging hairs (the sting is bicarbonate of ammonia).
Nettles have a plethora of uses as a herb, from nettle pudding and nettle beer, to an anti-asthmatic treatment.
