In [[heraldry]] a tierce is an [[ordinary]] which occupies the entire dexter third of the shield. Similarly a tierce sinister occupies the sinister third of the shield. Due to its unbalanced nature, [[SCA]] heraldry does not allow a tierce to be charged.
