A fight/fighter practice is a regular event where fighters get together to practice their skills. An official fight practice requires the attendance of at least one marshal, signed releases, and complete compliance with the Rules of the List. In some kingdoms an official practice cannot occur without a warranted branch officer present.
Most SCA groups have biweekly or monthly official fight practices, and many SCAdians organize "unofficial" practices without marshals or releases, usually along the lines of two or three friends in somebody's backyard. More rarely, groups host weekly official fight practices, which can result in greater unit coordination while maneuvering during combat.
A useful item at a fight practice is a pell.
