Abrotonum

This herbe Abrotonum is called Sotherne woode. The vertue of thys herbe is thus, that if they breake the sede & drynke it with water, it healeth men that have ben bytten with any venemous beast. Also this herbe destroieth worms in a mans wombe, also pouder of this herbe medled with barly meale unbyndeth and breketh harde postumes, also thys herbe brent, and the asshes medeled with oyle, maketh hair growe soner, this herbe is hote and drye in the second degre.
