A cross potent

In heraldry, a cross potent is a cross whose arms end in a short line travelling across at right angles. The word "potent" here means "crutch", thus each arm is a t-shape, resembling a crutch.

The cross potent appeared at the centre of the crusaders' arms for the Kingdom of Jerusalem.
