A chivalric weapons tournament has the restriction that only chivalric weapons can be used (so no daggers, florentine fighters, spears, etc.)
The annual William Marshall feast/tournament held in the Barony of Stormhold each December is run as a chivalric weapons tournament.
This appears to be a regional or local usage.
