In SCA Heraldry, certain charges are not permitted, owing to unfortunate modern connotations, historical presumption or overtly religious symbolism.
These Restricted Charges include (but are not limited to):

- The Cross Calvary
- Passion Crosses
- Swastikas
- A Flaming Cross
- Pentagrams and Pentacles
- Triskelions Gammadon
