Bread

Bread is a staple food made from (at its most basic) flour and water, though salt and leavening are often added. Yeast is used to create air bubbles in bread dough, making it rise or inflate. Bread made in this way is lighter, spongier and more absorbant than flat breads.

When bringing bread to a feast, remember the words of the Known World Handbook to the effect that bread, without something to spread on it, is not a contribution: it's alms.
