Anne Boleyn was born anywhere from 1501-1507 though her exact birthdate is not known. She was born to Sir Thomas Boleyn and his wife Elizabeth Howard.
When Henry VIII married his sister Mary to the king of France, Anne, her sister and a number of other young ladies accompanied the princess to France. When the king of France died, Anne remained in France and was taken in by the new queen Claude. She was trained in courtly arts such as flirtation and fashion, along with singing, dancing and musicianship.
