Founded by Lady Zahra bint Talib and Aibhilin inghean Eoghain in 2004, the West Kingdom Potters Guild seeks to assist practicing potters in the West Kingdom with historical research and helpful advice.

From their Guild Charter (proposed):

Purpose

The purpose of this Guild shall be:

  • To be an informal group of subjects of the West who share an interest in creating pottery.
  • To further the research and study of the pottery of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance (hereby defined as "period").
  • To encourage and foster the art of period pottery within the Kingdom of the West.
  • To make available information on period pottery and encourage its use.
  • To disseminate the truth about period pottery, forms and glazes, and help combat the myths.
