The weasel (Mustela nivalis) is a small carnivorous mammal, notable for its lack of chin. The term weasel is also sometimes used to describe the genus mustela, which includes the polecat, the ferret and the stoat.

In period the weasel was valued by travellers as a sovereign rememdy for basilisks, which it could kill despite the baisilisk's deadly breath and gaze.

Joke

The weasel is weaselly identified, whilst the stoat is stoatally different. Neither is ermint-flavoured
