Viceroy is the unofficial title used in the SCA for the male figurehead of a Crown Principality. The unofficial nature of this title means that it has no precedence or form of address.

Being simply local representatives of the Crown, Viceroys are not permitted to wear a coronet of any kind.

Viceroy and/or Vicereine is also the title used for the ruling territorial nobility of the Crown Province of Ostgardr , in the East Kingdom, a group unique in the SCA with many special grandfathered rights, privileges and weirdnesses. The Viceroy/Vicereine of Ostgardr are treated in all ways as Barons/Baronesses and have precedence as the senior landed nobility of the East Kingdom.

A female Viceroy is a Vicereine, which is an SCAism.
