Walraven is a long-time resident of the Province of the Mists in the West Kingdom, and currently serves as Nebuly Pusuivant for the Province as well as exchequer for the West Kingdom College of Heralds. He has been active as a book herald since about A.S. XXX, though his Award of Arms is dated to A.S. XXI though no fault of his own.

Walraven has presented classes at the SCA Known World Heraldic Symposia on the subject of Polish heraldic style and the name submission/registration process. He has also presented classes at West Kingdom Heraldic Collegia on the subject of names.
