A team combat occurs when groups of two or more fighters cooperate when fighting. Most SCA combats are team combats. When only two fighters are involved it referred to as single combat.

The complexity of the team combat often depends on the context: whether it is melee at a tournament or at a war.

Making large groups fighters work together effectively is one of the most difficult jobs of a commander.
