The ninja sword (if it existed at all) certainly did not exist in the SCA period. Those warriors now refered to as ninja used the same swords as other warriors of the time. Possibly because carrying a straight bladed square guarded sword in a time when most used the tachi or katana is a dead giveaway. I didn't edit the main article as I didn't feel confortable altering so much text.
