Is "symbology" even a word? Shouldn't it be symbolism?? Jane Stockton 10:02, 6 Jan 2004 (EST)

'Fraid so. Symbology is technically the study of symbols, but is used as a synonym for symbolism. Morgant

I still think this page should be changed to symbolism. It is discussing the meaning of the symbols, not the STUDY of the meaning of symbols. Jane Stockton 10:21, 6 Jan 2004 (EST)

I'm completely ambivalent about which word to use - I was just confirming that symbology is real and appropriate. Morgant

oops. That's what happens when you are in a hurry to get new info down (and that's why I love knowing we have Morgant here to fix my spelling/layout/grammar/wording etc). Fixing it.
