what does the "per bend sinister mean"? I am doing a coat of arms for my final project and i need to write an explaination for what i have chosen and being the person i am I drew out my coat fo arms first and didnt realise what I was doing ment something.. haha alright your help would be much appricated E-mail me at KHROXYCHICK99@aol.com

The per bend sinister is the "blazon" (heraldic speak) words for the picture shown - for dividing a coat of arms into two colours along a diagonal line sloping in that particular direction.
