Talk:12th Century animals
Regarding wild/tame animals, there were probably also bears, both wild and semi-tamed, being employed in entertainment, and rabbits being kept in warrens for "farming" and, inevitably, escaping into freedom (and unmonitored breeding, which was, eventually, to make them a breeding nuisance) --Far-Bjorn 01:55, 11 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Thanks. I'm certainly only starting the list, I'd love to see you add to it, in varieties of animals as well as how they were kept. I'm not certain I'm happy with the heading divisions yet either, I'm just waiting for inspiration on a better method. I didn't know that rabbit were farmed in warrens, thanks for the info! I'm not sure thatthe ferret information is very valid, unless the practise (and nature) of the ferret is very different today. --User 144 18:34, 11 May 2006 (EST)
