Aquinas was - and in my opion still is - the pre-eminent Catholic theogian. If you've got a persona that would even be vaguely interested in such things, a brief look at the Summa on topics like Just War and Tournaments (at http://www.newadvent.org/summa/304001.htm) is probably in order. |

Summa Contra Gentiles is one of the two great works of Saint Thomas Aquinas, the greatest of the Scholastics.
The other one is the Summa Theologica, a work that people who attended Catholic schools may be familiar with.
