Having been mooted at a low level a number of times, there was a meeting to discuss this proposal at "The Great Southern Gathering", held by Arrowsreach in October 2009. Consensus appeared to be that a Southern Principality was likely and desirable in the long term, but many short term issues needed to be addressed first, particularly the depth of personnel to run the extra Coronet events that would be required each year.
The geography is there. The members are potentially there. It's only a matter of time...
