Previously known as the 'Midlands' part of the then [[Shire of Lough Devnaree]] (which then covered all of Ireland). Following a large increase in [[membership]] in N. Ireland ([[2003]]), Lough Devnaree was spilt into two more distinct [[shire]]s. The [[Shire of Glen Rathlin]] taking N. Ireland and the Isle of Man and the rest remained with Lough Devnaree. Shortly after that the Shire of Eplaheimr also formed from the Midlands (Offaly, Laois & North Tipperary). |

Shire of Lough Devnaree is current changing it's name to Dun in Mara at which point the Lough Devnaree name will be come a name for the full of Ireland again (Unofficial). |

Shire activities are based around Shinrone in Co. Offaly. Shire members hail from almost all the surrounding counties. |

The Shire of Eplaheimr is the SCA branch covers the Midlands of Ireland (Offaly, Laois & North Tipperary). It is part of the Crown Principality of Insulae Draconis in the Kingdom of Drachenwald.
History
Previously known as the 'Midlands' part of the then Shire of Lough Devnaree (which then covered all of Ireland). Following a large increase in membership in N. Ireland (2003), Lough Devnaree was spilt into two more distinct shires. The Shire of Glen Rathlin taking N. Ireland and the Isle of Man and the rest remained with Lough Devnaree. Shortly after that the Shire of Eplaheimr also formed from the Midlands (Offaly, Laois & North Tipperary).
People
Shire activities are based around Shinrone in Co. Offaly. Shire members hail from almost all the surrounding counties.
