Romanian or Rumanian is a Romance language that is found in Romania over the other side of Europe from the other languages in that family. As a result, many words from Slavonic languages and grammatical changes have been added to the language that are quite unlike other Romance languages.

The earliest texts that have been found are from the 16th century.
