Right of Arms in the SCA

In the SCA, this is the underlying principle by which a King, Queen or any other SCA ruler is invested with their rank. According to the Corpora:

Sovereign and Consort: The victor in the Royal Lists and the victor's consort, respectively, after their Coronation or Investiture. (Glossary)
Royal lists: Properly constituted armored combat tournament to determine the successors to the current royalty. (Glossary)
... Crowns or Coronets who wish to conduct a royal list in a manner other than individual combat must obtain the prior approval of the Board of Directors. (Sec IV.A.1)
