To Plunder is a verb meaning "to forcibly remove valuables from a person or location". It is a synonym for the words loot and pillage and is essentially large-scale theft with the implied overtone that one has previously killed or driven off the victims. Plundering, alone with raping and burning, was a staple of medieval warfare.
When used as a noun, "plunder" refers to the proceeds of the act of plundering; the same rule applies to the word "loot" but, oddly enough, not to the word "pillage".
