The '''Picts''' are a group of peoples living in [[Scotland]] in [[Roman]] and early [[medieval]] times.  Similar in culture to the [[Celt]]s, they constructed monumental stellae similar to the [[Viking]] [[runestone]]s.  They were said by legend to cover their bodies in paint or tatoos.  Their culture was eroded and absorbed by the [[Dalriada]]ic Scots, and, because they left behind no written records, only enigmatic carvings, it has been lost to the [[modern]] era.
