A peer is a person who has received a society level reward, making them a member of any one or more of the three peerages: Order of the Laurel, Order of Chivalry or Order of the Pelican - aka Laurels, Knights, and Pelicans. It can also be extended to refer to kings, queens, princes, princesses, barons and baronesses.

These people are expected to be the role models in the SCA, upholding the values of chivalry and committing themselves to service to the realm.
