The Order of the Scorpion of al-Barran (CSA) was established when the Barony of al-Barran was founded under Raymond the Quiet. It is presented to those persons who have given many hours of service to the furtherance of the Barony. The first companion of the order was Irminsul the Improbable presented in May 1977. Medallions of this order depict a scorpion within an orle within a border, all gold, on a black background. The holders of the Order shall be styled as Companions of the Scorpion of al-Barran and shall be entitled to place the initials C.S.A. after their names. The award carries with it, subject to the pleasure of the Crown, an Award of Arms.
