The Order of the Russian Thistle (CRT) is an award from the Barony of al-Barran and was established at Midwinter 1982 by Baron Stefan and Baroness Beau and is presented to those persons who have worked in the arts and shared their talents with other members of the Barony. The first companion to this order was AElflaed of Duckford. The insignia of this order depicts Russian Thistle within a border, each gold, on a black background. The holders of the Order shall be styled as Companions of the Russian Thistle and shall be entitled to place the initials C.R.T. after their names. The award shall carry with it, subject to the pleasure of the Crown, an Award of Arms.
