The Order of the Pearl is a kingdom level award of High Merit in Atlantia, given by the crown to those subjects of the Kingdom who have distinguished themselves by their efforts and willingness to teach other subjects of the Society the arts and sciences of the period, and/or their excellence in the arts and sciences of the period. The award confers an Grant of Arms to the recipient. Award holders are allowed to wear a medallion or pin with the award’s badge, as well as style themselves Companions of the Pearl, often abbreviated to CP.

The first Pearl was given to Muirean nic Ruaidhri, while Atlantia was a principality on April 29, 1977, during the reign of TRH Alaric and Yseult.
