In war, non-combatants, also known as banner-bearers, are people who are out on the field but cannot engage in combat with anyone on the field. They are allowed to carry a banner (such as that of the unit whose side they are on), can be killed as a light and must comply to minimum light armour standards.

To become authorised as a non-combatant, you must be over the age of sixteen and know the nine rules of the list.

Being a non-combatant is the best way to enjoy a war and get a feel for it without actually having to do anything!
