A solution obtained by steeping or soaking a substance, such as a herb, in water. Boiling water is often used because more of the solutes are extracted from your substance.

Substances used in infusions are often contain relaxants, stimulants, carminatives, or other properties beneficial (or not so beneficial!) to your health.
