Hope, as a theological virtue, is a combination of the desire for something and expectation of receiving it. It is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life.

Practicing Hope in the SCA

  • Think positively, and optimistically
  • Write recommendation letters to the King and Queen when you observe commendable traits and deeds
  • Find as many avenues for your research as possible, instead of restricting your search to a few limited sources; try asking on a mailing list, for example, to see if anyone has experience or resources in your subject of interest
