A medieval Arabic manuscripts on simple drugs, by the 12th-century Andalusian physician and scholar Abu Ja'far al-Ghafiqi (d.1165), expected to be codified in the first half of the 12th Century, following the De Materia Medica model. MS 7508 is housed in the Osler Library of the History of Medicine at McGill Queens University
