Replica 17th century hanger.

A hanger is a type of backsword. These are sometimes slightly curved. The hilts of these weapons may be very simple or be more elaborate.

These swords were typically carried by pikemen in the 17th century as a secondary weapon.

Not to be confused with a wall hanger.
