Hamlets are a type of unofficial [[group]] which is unique to [[Lochac]]. As such they have no formal recognition in [[Corpora]], but might be considered as a step between a [[Household]] and an official group such as a [[Canton]] or [[Shire]]. The idea is to provide small groups with some form of recognision without the reporting requirements that can lead to difficulty in filling the officers. Hamlets are a type of unofficial group which is unique to Lochac.
