Fred is the archery target for Stormhold's archers.

It was originally modeled from Sir Antoine in the mists of time, and has a hole in the face plate and chest areas. These holes have heavy plastic 'mudflat' and will let arrows pass through. Popular myth also states that the groin region once had a largish bell, that made a good note when struck.

"Brian" is the name of Arrowsreach's equivalent target, named after Master Brian di Caffa. "Shinless Bob" fullfills the same function for the Household of Csikos Lo.

Fred is also the name of the fire breathing goat who is the mascot of the SCA College of Blessed Herman the Cripple.
