For some, cigarettes are a necesary evil of the modern world. Something to be aware of, however, is that filtered cigarettes are banned from many camping events. Why? Because too many smokers do not consider butts to be rubbish, and dump them on the ground.

The fibre used to make the filters does not decompose, and is harmful to grazing animals.

A clever way around this problem is to make a drawstring pouch large enough to hide a plastic film canister in. What do you have? One portable ashtray!

For most, cigarettes at an event is glaring modern intrusion and considerate, recreationist smokers remove themselves from sight whilst they partake.
