Cattle

Bovine mammalian quadruped, domesticated during pre-history as a source of milk, meat and leather. Relatively placid; tends to herd for mutual protection. Provides labour opportunities for cowherds and milkmaids. Not normally eligible to become a knight, landed or court noble, or archbishop. Possibly a good candidate for royalty, where there is a capable First Minister already in place.
