The Barony of Ynys Fawr is an SCA group in the Kingdom of Lochac that geographically covers all of Tasmania and lays claim to the Australian Antarctic Territories. Within its boundaries is the College of St Gildas the Wise.
Currently under the guidance of Baron Arnfin and Baroness Aine (pronounced Anya).
In the north of the state they hold weekly meetings on Tuesday nights so if you're a stickjock, a twangjock or a pointy-thing expert, come and join in! Weekly meetings are held in Launceston on Thursday nights as well. For those interested monthly A&S are held in Latrobe.
In 2006, the Barony was at war with New Zealand (also known as Gottmark or the Crescent Isles) for the possession of the Antarctic Territories. The winner at Rowany Festival 2006 took "possession" of the great white wasteland.
