Artistic Difference is an SCA term for minor changes in the representation of a device which do not require a new blazon. For example, argent a dragon gules is a red dragon on a white (or silver) field, whether the red dragon is depicted as an oriental dragon or one done in the viking style.

Artistic Difference does not count as a point of difference in SCA heraldry..
