A Triple Peer is a person who has been raised to three of the Bestowed Peerages. In common usage it meant someone who was a member of the Order of Chivalry, the Order of the Pelican, and the Order of the Laurel before the creation of the Order of Defense. This was quite rare, as they must have demonstrated not only martial prowess. exemplary service to the Society (the Pelicans), and excellence in arts and sciences (the Laurels).

Prior to the advent of the Order of Defense, this meant someone had "the complete set" of Bestowed Peerages. After that Order was created, a Quadruple Peerage would be needed to complete the set.

(This terminology did not usually include Royal Peerages for some reason.)
