Nephele Eirenikas is the daughter of a well-to-do Byzantine textile merchant during the time of Basil the Bulgar-Slayer. She grew up traveling with her father between the coasts of Byzantium and North India, where he obtained most of his merchandise. As a result, Nephele loves the ocean, travel of any kind, and the Gujarati Indian culture. She is married to Matthias, the son of her father's business partner in Constantinople, and together they are carrying on the family business.

Nif has been in and out of the SCA for about 10 years now. She is currently in, and wishes her husband would have picked a persona with less expensive clothing.
