The Crusader States were a number offeudal states founded by Western European crusaders in Asia Minor, the Mediterranean and the Holy Land in the wake of the First Crusade at the end of the 11th Century.

These states, centred on the Kingdom of Jerusalem, were loosely allied and owed each other various degrees of fealty. In period they were collectively known as Outremer or simply "The Holy Land".

The major Crusader States in the Levant were destroyed in the late 13th Century, although some of the outlying states lasted for centuries thereafter.
