Hope to encourage further dicussion. --Simoncursitor 22:52, 19 Oct 2004 (EST)

Further to this, and to Cian's edit, ought the phrase "commonly used in the SCA" not be adjusted to take into account that many other groups who use one-on-one fighting also use the round-robin system, rather than implying that r-r is an SCA preserve ? Just a query --Simoncursitor 16:41, 20 Oct 2004 (EST)

  • That was added because a) I do not know whether round-robins are very period and b) I do not know what other re-enactment groups. Therefore, since I didn't want the article to be misleading, I thought I better stress that this article was mainly written from an SCA point-of-view, not a historical one.
If you know that RRs were period, then by all means change it. If you know that other recreation groups use it, then change it to "commonly used in re-enactment groups".
