Lamb's Lettuce, also known as Corn Salad, Mache, or by it's latin name Valerianella locusta. Corn Salad is a winter green that grows wild in parts of Europe, Asia and North Africa. An excellent salad green for winter it bolts as the weather warms. During period is was a common food plant for peasants to forage. It also grows and reseeds in garden settings. |
