Archer (Historical)
An Archer uses a bow in combat. When used correctly, they can be devastating and there have been several battles that prove this fact very well.
Archer (SCA)
SCA archers have similar armour requirements to those of heavy combatants and are distinguished not only by the weapon that they are holding but also by their helmets bearing either a large fluorescent triangle or a clearly visible plume. These mark them as light fighters.
The standard bows that they use have a maximum of 30 pounds at a 28 inch draw. SCA combat crossbows use a draw-to-poundage ratio. Other light combatants use a variety of thrown weapons.
