Easter is a christian festival marking the death of Jesus.
The Roman method for calculating the date to Easter is to set Easter Sunday as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the autumnal equinox. Although this is now the accepted method of calculating Easter, the Celtic church had a different method. This however ran into problems as Easter would occasionally fall during Lent, which was a period of fasting.
