I would be interested in looking at your shield article when it is ready. I have just finshed acquiring all the materials for my new centre boss this weekend (I was short of leather). Within the next fortnight I will have finished it as I need it for Easter and it will get a bit of a workout. I shall let you know how it goes.--User 144 23:33, 25 Mar 2006 (CST) |

I have been using the planked, leather covered flat shield for a year now. It has proven quite robust. Even through display fighting, it has come away free of splitting. User 144 23:33, 30 Mar 2007 (CST) |

On the other hand both of these addresses have not posted since the cat episode, which I believe is about a week old. They have probably had their fun and left. Thank you for your efforts in fixing up their primitive fun. If they do it again I think that we should block them for a significant time (ie long enough for them to forget about it and get bored).--User 144 19:16, 25 Apr 2006 (EST) |

Yeah, kind of quiet here. Post-Easter-event enthusiasm is keeping me going on some projects but I didn't want to start a new sewing one and I'm saving my current one for Friday night Curry and Sewing nights. Well if you'd like me to cast an eye across it and give a perspective from someone who uses rebated steel, I'd be happy to that. |

In practical terms being a sysop means you can rollback edits, block users and edit protected pages. This should make a few things easier for you. If you have any questions just let me know. Conrad Leviston 00:26, 3 May 2006 (EST) |

P.S. No, it was not you post about the relative merits of box and cup that did it. If anything that was almost a deal breaker. :) |

Thanks for the tip. I thought they were a little short to be "non-stubs". Of course, I have added a lot to some of them since marking them. I'll relook them. CsikosLo 06:23, 23 July 2008 (EST) |

Hello an welcome to Cunnan!
We usually suggest new users tell us a bit about themselves on their user page but you've beaten us to it.
Good work on your edits so far. We all hope you'll stay a while and help us improve Cunnan's information.

thanks
Tobin;
Thanks -- I'm a tech support guy and this is a holiday up here in Canada, so I've got lots of free time. Sorry about the multiple edits on the various things I've posted -- I'm still getting the hang of this.
Paul
- No worries, mistakes can be easily fixed. If you need some help feel free to ask at the village pump.
- One trick you'll probably find handy for talk pages is typing ~~~~ to sign your name and the date. Like so: Tobin 08:50, 10 Oct 2005 (CDT)
Tobin;
Thanks!

Welcome
Also thanks for kicking off the "religion" threads -- I couldn't think of a way that wasn't likely to be divisive, but you seem to have managed a very balanced approach. --Simoncursitor 14:04, 20 Oct 2005 (CDT)
- No problem -- the trick is to treat it like an article in a newspaper or textbook.

Viking
Not silliness -- "Viking" was indeed a verb-form in their language, a raid was a "vike" or "vyke". If it were not so, the word would never have entered "English", for Anglish, Saxon or Celtic it is not. --Simoncursitor 02:20, 2 Nov 2005 (CST)
Centre Boss Shields
I would be interested in looking at your shield article when it is ready. I have just finshed acquiring all the materials for my new centre boss this weekend (I was short of leather). Within the next fortnight I will have finished it as I need it for Easter and it will get a bit of a workout. I shall let you know how it goes.--User 144 23:33, 25 Mar 2006 (CST)

Vandalism
Corrected a small vandalism spree by User:208.182.75.11 on April 13/06. Probably some eight-year-old somewhere, because I can't see an adult using the word "poop" that much.
The North Pole
An article in this title appears to have been opened in your name.
As it has no text in it, I was considering deleting it, but I wondered whether this was simply a case of an "escaped edit".

And someone else already shot it. In the head no less. Cheers -- Simon 18:19, 20 Apr 2006 (EST)
Back Again.
Re your message -- I suggest taking this to Village Pump. I ws made a sysop (I think) for submitting articles and for spotting a couple of vandals. I use the powers sparingly, but now I have learned the roll-back idea, I try to do what I can to reverse vandalism. Something can probably be done to block the domain (or a part of it), but the problem is that this might also block out innocent users. Sorry to be "unhelpful" -- Simoncursitor 19:00, 25 Apr 2006 (EST)
